ABOUT US
Welcome to Enriching Young Minds! We’re a small organization, established in 2019, with a big mission: to empower young Black girls to unleash their full potential. We believe that with the right guidance, support, and resources, young Black girls can unlock their own unique greatness and be successful entrepreneurs.
Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where young Black girls can develop the skills and confidence to follow their dreams. We believe that when girls have access to the right opportunities, they can make a positive impact in their own lives and in the lives of those around them.
Our team of professional mentors and advisors provides guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. We are proud to be a part of the global movement to improve the lives of young Black girls. At Enriching Young Minds, we’re committed to helping young Black girls develop the skills and confidence necessary to pursue their dreams and become successful entrepreneurs.

Our mission is to educate and encourage young black girls with natural hair 6 to 16 years old to own their own businesses while fostering their self-esteem and self-acceptance through programs, mentorship, resources, business fairs, etc...
Our vision at Enriching Young Minds is to grow a movement of empowered young Black girls who confidently own their identity and succeed in business as professional entrepreneurs, regardless of societal norms and perceptions of their natural hair. We strive to bridge the gap and close the disparities in entrepreneurial opportunities afforded to them, thus allowing them to fulfill their dreams and reach their highest potential.
Our Services
WHAT WE OFFER
Enriching Young Minds focuses on providing a safe, nurturing, and educational space to develop the self-identity of Black girls as leaders and change-makers across the Detroit Metro Area. We provide programs, mentorship, and entrepreneurship opportunities to help them build the skills and knowledge they need to become successful. Our programs work to build self-esteem and self-acceptance through understanding the world they live in, advocate for their rights, and exercise control over their lives through a continuum approach and creative outlets. Young Black Girls in Business
We coach young black girls on life skills, character development, goal setting, and much more, to help them find a footing and create their independent identity to help them accomplish their goals.
Mentoring Opportunities
Mentoring can be an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience, both for the mentor and the mentee. It is a great way to give back and help someone else learn, grow, and succeed.

IN THE COMMUNITY
We organize children's business fairs for young Black girls in our community to promote entrepreneurship and help them recognize their potential for success as a part of our program. Our Young Black Girls in Business Children's Fair provides a platform for girls to learn from experience, network with like-minded peers, and gain insights into the world of business. Our goal is to foster an environment of growth and inspiration, where the girls feel empowered to pursue their dreams.
In addition to our children's business fairs, we are also committed to giving back to the community through event and donation opportunities. We have partnered to organize activities such as Back to School events. These types of actions not only help those in need but also give our organization a chance to make a positive impact in our local community.
